The appointments are fixed. The votes have been cast. The bags are packed. As we travel home, we pray for safe journeys and grateful hearts, carrying with us Bishop Williamston’s challenge to see our communities, congregations, and ministries with fresh eyes. Annual Conference may be over, but God is still calling us to be “spiritual ophthalmologists” for Jesus Christ, helping others recognize where grace, hope, and transformation are already at work. Amen.

“Ministry is the work of God, done by the people of God.” With those words, Bishop Delores J. Williamston led the Louisiana Conference in celebrating the ordination of Deacons Katrena Ann King and Magdeline Rose Russo and the commissioning of provisional Elders Brandon Michael Sikes and Lauren Brooke Broussard LeBoeuf. May God continue to bless and guide them in their ongoing call to serve.
