⛳ A Great Day of Golf for an Even Greater Cause! 💙

The LSTA Headquarters Affiliate hosted a successful golf tournament on October 5th at Greystone Country Club! From a fantastic day on the course to an incredible auction, the generosity of our sponsors, participants, and supporters helped raise funds to further the HQ Affiliate's charitable mission.

One of the most meaningful moments of the event was the opportunity to make a very special wish come true! 🌟

In partnership with Mrs. Becky Prejean and Dreams Come True, the HQ Affiliate helped surprise Norah with a dream trip to New York City! Facing a progressive disease that will eventually take away her ability to walk, this young lady has an unforgettable adventure ahead of her. And in true LSTA HQ event fashion, those in attendance opened their hearts and wallets, generously contributing extra spending money to make her shopping experience in the Big Apple even more special! 🗽🛍️

The 12th Annual Troop I LSTA Affiliate Golf Tournament at Cane Row Golf Club in New Iberia was a fantastic day filled with great golf, fellowship, and support for Troop I!

Troop I Affiliate President Tim Barlow expressed his sincere thanks to the incredible sponsors, volunteers, participants, and supporters who helped make this year’s tournament such a success. “Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without your generosity and commitment!”

Louisiana State Troopers Association Names Representative Lauren Ventrella 2026 Legislator of the Year

BATON ROUGE, La. — The Louisiana State Troopers Association (LSTA) is proud to announce State Representative Lauren Ventrella of House District 65 as its 2026 Legislator of the Year, recognizing her steadfast support of Louisiana State Police and her continued advocacy on behalf of the men and women who serve and protect communities across the state.

Representative Ventrella was formally selected for the honor through a resolution adopted by LSTA delegates during the Association’s annual business meeting.

During the 2026 Legislative Session, Representative Ventrella demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of Louisiana State Police personnel by successfully securing funding for the Louisiana State Police Troopers and Employees Assistance Program (TEAP). The funding will help ensure continued access to critical mental health and wellness resources for troopers and employees.

In addition to her efforts supporting TEAP, Representative Ventrella has consistently championed legislation aimed at strengthening public safety, improving the effectiveness and safety of Louisiana State Troopers, and advancing the mission of law enforcement throughout Louisiana.

“Representative Ventrella has proven time and again that she understands the challenges facing our troopers and recognizes the importance of supporting those who dedicate their lives to serving the citizens of Louisiana,” said LSTA President Hack Willis. “Her work to secure funding for TEAP will have a meaningful and lasting impact on the men and women of Louisiana State Police and their families. We are proud to recognize her as our 2026 Legislator of the Year.”

The members of the Louisiana State Troopers Association extend their sincere appreciation to Representative Ventrella for her dedicated public service, continued support of Louisiana law enforcement, and commitment to the men and women of Louisiana State Police.
