STEP INTO SUCCESS – BACK-TO-SCHOOL SHOE GIVEAWAY 👟📚
When people hear the name United Cajun Navy, they often think of hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and other disasters. While disaster response is at the heart of what we do, our mission has always been bigger than that.
We believe in serving communities before, during, and after disasters — and even when there isn’t a disaster at all. Sometimes the greatest need isn’t clearing debris or delivering supplies. Sometimes it’s making sure a child has a brand-new pair of shoes and the school supplies they need to walk into their first day of school with confidence.
That’s why United Cajun Navy Midwest Team Leader Jacob Rowley is proud to announce our Step Into Success Back-to-School Shoe Giveaway.
On Saturday, August 15, we’ll provide $10,000 worth of brand-new shoes, along with school supplies and backpacks for students in grades 1–8, to children in need throughout Marshall County.

Saturday, August 15 | 8:00 A.M.
Shoe Sensation — 2500 South Center Street, Marshalltown, IA
We anticipate serving 200 children, helping them start the school year equipped, confident, and ready to succeed.
✅ Requirements to Receive Shoes
• No pre-sign-up required
• Must be receiving some form of government assistance (SNAP, WIC, HUD, FIP, DHS letter, or school counselor referral)
• Must bring proof for each child (birth certificate, school ID, medical insurance card, etc.)
• Child must live in your household and be financially supported by you
• One pair of shoes per child
• No duplicate check-ins for the same child
Whether we’re responding to a natural disaster or investing in the future of our communities, our purpose remains the same: to serve people when they need it most.
