Ms. Brown led a powerful Financial Literacy session with our students, diving into the world of credit cards covering key topics like features, pitfalls, interest rates, and the difference between secured and unsecured credit cards. This is just the beginning, and we’re excited for the upcoming sessions in this valuable partnership. Together, we’re building a stronger, smarter future for our youth!

Thank you! Thank you! Southern University Agricultural Center.

AMIkids Baton Rouge has developed a unique horticulture initiative in partnership with the Southern University Agricultural Center. Through this collaboration, university experts visit our school to teach students practical gardening and agricultural skills. Students learn how to plant, grow, and care for fruits, vegetables, and other plants, gaining hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture. This program enhances students’ understanding of science and the environment but also encourages healthy eating habits, environmental stewardship, and community engagement.

AMIkids Baton Rouge Wraparound Program had the honor of visiting the OJJ offices in Baton Rouge, Lafayette & and Hammond in celebration of Probation Officer Week.

We are so grateful for the partnership and relationship we share with OJJ. Being invited to take part in this week’s celebration was a meaningful opportunity to recognize the dedication, hard work, and lasting impact of OJJ Probation Officers, Supervisors, and our Case Managers.

We are deeply grateful to State Representative Barbara W. Carpenter (District 63) and Legislative Assistant Kermit Johnson IV for hosting Legislative Day and welcoming the AMIkids Louisiana programs — AMIkids Baton Rouge, AMIkids Caddo, and AMIkids Acadiana — to the State Capitol.

A proud moment during the day: AMIkids Baton Rouge was honored with a Resolution from the Louisiana House of Representatives, recognizing their positive impact on youth and the community.
