😮 It was a historic weekend in Dallas, for sure! And, of course, Louisiana Soccer took center stage!

👀 At the 2026 Annual General Meeting, where State Associations from across the country voted to begin a historic integration of US Youth Soccer into U.S. Soccer, Louisiana Soccer President Sean Esker was recognized as the recipient of The Spirit of USYS Award — an award given to one individual from across the entire national organization who best embodies the values and spirt of US Youth Soccer.

🫶 Sean’s introduction at the event captured exactly why he was selected as this year's honoree: a lifetime of service to the game at virtually every level, an extraordinary record of achievement, and leadership defined by humility, generosity and an unwavering belief in what soccer can do for young people and communities.

💪 This was more than an award for one person. It was national recognition of the spirit Sean brings to Louisiana Soccer ... and hopefully the spirit Louisiana brings to the beautiful game.

👏 Congratulations, Sean. We could not be prouder. One Game. One State.

💁 Oh yeah, and USYS + U.S. Soccer? Kind of a big deal. Stay tuned for the next chapter in American soccer!
