We would like to give a very special thanks to Southern Creations Catering. They came in at the last minute to help us and did a phenomenal job. The food was exceptional and the staff was a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend them for any catering needs you have .

Surgeon General Abraham shared important remarks at today’s Louisiana School-Based Health Alliance Conference in Pineville.

School-Based Health Center (SBHC) staff across the state do incredible work to take care of our kids. Not only do they treat our kids for everyday illness (about 68% of visits), they also offer behavioral health services (about 32% of visits).
SBHCs can serve the student population at large through health screenings and diagnoses, medication prescriptions and dispensing, oral and mental health services, emergency preparation and more.

Our most recent data shows us that 57 SBHCs alone provide access to health services for more than 47,000 students.

Ensuring that all students in Louisiana have a safe space to access to quality healthcare services at school, regardless of what’s happening at home, is critically important - especially in rural areas, where SBHCs are often truly the first line of defense.
