Corporate welfare is bad business, and we need to look no further than Jefferson Parish as the latest example. A company promising to create 100 high-paying jobs is now saying they can only create 13 jobs at half the pay. They're still asking for a $47 million tax exemption!

If they get it, everyday residents will have to shoulder that heavy tax debt to pay for public services like, police, schools, drainage, and streets.
