“Think Like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness.” Oprah Winfrey. A big shout out to the members of Pink Blossom Alliance Club at Collegiate Baton Rouge High School who were tasked with hosting their first community event. “Tiaras and Toast Self Esteem Brunch” The ladies were not afraid to embrace challenge to assume task they have never completed before. There was lots of personal growth, empowerment, and support throughout the day. Special thanks to our community partners who sponsored the event HD Bling, Rouse Supermarket Florida Blvd, Nothing Bundt Cake, SOT Media and staff from Collegiate Baton Rouge High School. Thank you to our special guest who participated in the program Order of Eastern Star, Ms. Black Louisiana Eminence 2023 – Dr. Treva T. “Slay the Girl… Slay the World”
Pink Blossom Alliance formerly known as Baton Rouge Pretty Brown Girl Club #77 in partnership with Root of the Matter hosted an Empowerment Rally in honor of National Prettu Brown Girls Club. This year’s theme is “Empower a Girl Empower of the World.” The Empowerment Rally consisted of music, dance, and inspirational words. The highlighted event was a fashion show displaying modern clothes which speaks to the models personality. Each outfit was coordinated by a personal stylist from McKinley High School.

Dr. Martin Luther King asked the most persistent question: "What are you doing for others?“

Pink Blossom Alliance was given the opportunity to join powers with Councilman Cleve Dunn Jr from District 6 in hosting a North Sherwood Forest neighborhood cleanup. Thank you to Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, Council Dunn's staff, along with Belaire High's Principal Verdie Batiste faculty and staff.

Special thanks to others for continuing to pour into the lives of our young adults during the Youth Empowerment session. Your transparency has definitely inspired the students to continue their educational journey and aspire to be better. The community revitalization consisted of revamping the school's vegetable garden, neighborhood trash pick up, lawn care, and home improvements.
This was truly a wonderful experience, and we hope to be back next year!
