On Sunday, September 20, 2026, we officially marked the beginning of our 2026–2027 Debutante Season with an unforgettable Rites of Passage celebration!

With great pride and joy, we presented 16 extraordinary young ladies, surrounded by their families, community, and the incredible village committed to nurturing, guiding, and celebrating them as they embark upon this meaningful journey into womanhood.

Sponsored by the Nu Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, in partnership with the Nu Gamma Omega Education and Charitable Foundation, this beautiful occasion reflected the power of sisterhood, service, tradition, and community.

The Nu Gamma Omega Educational & Charitable Foundation, Inc. recently held its 2026 Shareholders and Directors Retreat, for all members bringing together a meaningful morning of learning, reflection, engagement, and renewed commitment to our mission and governance.

A special thank you to our Charter Members and to those who were instrumental in the presentation, “Laying the Foundation.” Their reflections helped remind us of the vision, sacrifice, and commitment that helped establish the Foundation and continue to guide our work today. As the saying goes, if you don’t know where you came from, you won’t know where you’re going.

We also extend sincere appreciation to Lynn Farris for her informative presentation on ways we can support both the Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF) and our local Foundation.
Thank you to everyone who attended, presented, planned, and helped make the retreat a productive and inspiring experience. Special thank you to Director and Chairman of the retreat Maya Guntz. The foundation is led by President Errin Gaines and Vice President Rashaunda Williams.

The work continues—and so does our commitment to service, scholarship, and community impact.
