Maine has suffered tremendous losses this week. First with a deadly plane crash involving the Maine State Game Warden Service, the tragic loss of a local firefighter in West Bath, and today a deadly explosion in Searsmont. Our condolences go out to the family, friends, and departments of all those involved with these tragic events.

Today's visit from K9 Chaos was a reminder of the incredible impact one calm presence can have for a lifetime. After supporting the Georgetown school following a tragedy, K9 Chaos visited Georgetown School again, where he was able to grant not one but two students' wishes. His presence is a beacon of hope and calm in our community, and we're thankful for his dedication. Georgetown School's decision to bring K9 Chaos in to honor a teacher and visit with students was a wonderful way to showcase the positive difference he makes.
