Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

We’d like to thank everyone for celebrating **him** today.

Although, if we’re being honest, we’re not entirely sure why an **ENTIRE DAY** was necessary. This dog already receives attention, treats, belly rubs, compliments, and enough praise to keep his ego at dangerous levels. 😂

But apparently, the world needed one official day to recognize what he’s known all along:

**He’s a big deal.** 🐶👑

So enjoy your day, buddy. Try not to let all this fame go to your head.

It has been a hot minutes since we last posted and when I say hot it usually means our fire departments have been involved. Last week started off with helping Sagadahoc County Emergency Management Agency conduct an EOC operations drill, followed by another woods fire where I was know. As Captain Chaos. Today ended the week with getting our students ready for back to school and helping everyone feel a little less anxious about the new school year. I even made a guest appearance on the news tonight.

The dog days of summer doesn’t stop just cause it’s the weekend. K9 Chaos and Sagadahoc County Emergency Management Agency spent the day helping the residents of Woolwich lower their blood pressures and sign up for RAVE at the town’s community day before being called upon as a pinch runner and foul ball fetcher for the Shannon Haley Softball tournament in Bath.

We have our spots claimed for tonight’s fireworks at Bath Heritage Days. After walking in the parade this morning and working hard all day, we hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July.

Happy Father’s Day to all the extraordinary dog dads out there. I am completely grateful that my dad is a shining example of compassion, allowing me to spread joy and comfort to those who need it most, and showering them with affection. He lets me bring them .

Maine has suffered tremendous losses this week. First with a deadly plane crash involving the Maine State Game Warden Service, the tragic loss of a local firefighter in West Bath, and today a deadly explosion in Searsmont. Our condolences go out to the family, friends, and departments of all those involved with these tragic events.
