🔥 Keeping the Fire Burning — Our First Eagle Scout Project Award as been issued!

The Troop 43 Foundation was proud to meet with Joshua Lee of Troop 25, St. Paul’s Third Lutheran Church in Easton, and his mother, Sarah, to discuss his Eagle Scout project.

Joshua is revitalizing the Marian Grotto at Notre Dame High School in Bethlehem with new stone and edging, concrete, paint, flags, and benches. The project is estimated at approximately $1,700, and Joshua had already raised most of the funding through fundraisers and donations before coming to us.

We’re proud to help Joshua with the remaining funds needed to complete his project—making him the first Eagle Scout candidate supported by the Troop 43 Foundation!

With the Scouting community of Minsi Trails Council and the legacy so many of us share through Camp Minsi, our mission is simple: help the next generation of Eagle Scouts serve, lead, and make a lasting difference. National Eagle Scout Association

Thank you, Joshua and Sarah and your entire Troop / Leaders. We can’t wait to see the finished project!

The Troop 43 Foundation was established to carry forward the legacy of Troop 43, founded in 1934 in Bath, Pennsylvania. For more than 90 years, the troop served generations of young people through times of growth, challenge, and change, becoming a lasting part of our community.

During that time, Troop 43 produced 73 Eagle Scouts, many of whom have gone on to become community leaders, business owners, first responders, military members, educators, and professionals. Just as importantly, the troop helped shape hundreds—if not thousands—of Scouts who may never have earned the rank of Eagle but embraced the values of Scouting by developing character, leadership, responsibility, service, and a lifelong commitment to helping others.

Today, the Foundation continues that mission. Led by former Troop 43 leaders, Eagle Scouts, and scouters, our purpose is to preserve the troop's legacy by investing in the future of Scouting. Over the years, the Foundation has proudly supported organizations that helped shape our Scouting journey, including Camp Minsi and other local community partners.

Our primary focus is now helping the next generation of Eagle Scouts succeed. Life Scouts within the Minsi Trails Council are encouraged to apply for funding for their Eagle Scout service projects. We seek to support projects that embody the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law—leadership, integrity, service to others, and a commitment to leaving the community better than they found it.

Although Troop 43 concluded its final chapter in 2025, its legacy lives on through the Troop 43 Foundation. We remain committed to keeping the fire burning by ensuring future generations of Scouts have the opportunity to serve, lead, and make a lasting difference.
