Sheriff Allard Receives ACRU Defender Award


Sheriff Allard was recently presented with the Defender Award from the American Constitutional Rights Union (ACRU). He was recognized for honoring his oath of office and performing his duties in accordance with the Constitution of the United States of America.

The initiative recognizes law enforcement agencies and their leaders, who honor their oath of office, uphold the law, and demonstrate their cooperation and partnership with federal law enforcement agencies. Sheriff Allard stated, “I am honored to accept this award on behalf of the dedicated men and women of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office. I have always advocated for strong partnerships with all our law enforcement partners whether local, state, or federal. When we work together as a law enforcement profession it makes everyone safer and that has always been my goal.”

Jelly Roll is taking his mission of hope to the next level — transforming 100 acres of land into a completely free rehabilitation campus for those battling addiction and mental health struggles.

The site will include 28-day programs, therapy, and “guest weekender” retreats for people in long-term recovery — a space to, as Jelly puts it, “get in the mud with the boys.”

“I think about the resources that could have helped us back then,” he says. “Now we can finally build them.”
