The purposes and objectives of the club are to take an active interest in the civic, social and moral welfare of the community; to unite the members of the club in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding; to encourage service-minded members to serve their community without personal, financial reward and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in all end
eavors; to promote and encourage the principal of sharing responsibilities with the citizens of Moore Township; and to be ever mindful of the needs of the unfortunate physical, mental or financial handicaps of our Moore Township citizens. The club raises income through community based events such as our annual car show and other raffles, the members of the club also have aluminum can recycling bins located throughout the township. Past fundraisers and income based activities have included miscellaneous raffles, annual pig roast, working at the now defunct Nazareth Raceway, and assisting with food stands at the Moore Township Recreation Center. The club uses the profits garnered from the above events to financially support and sponsor our community Christmas tree, host an annual gathering of sight handicapped individuals of all ages for a day of fishing and picnicing. The club donates annually to local food banks, hospitals and eye clinics, along with helping individuals with eye exams and prescriptions. The club also provides financial support to those in our community who have come upon hard times by donating groceries, fuel oil, home repairs and Christmas gifts.
