Northampton County Junior Conservation School

Northampton County Junior Conservation School NCJCS is a conservation education organization that hosts a week-long residential summer camp for youth 13 through 17.

In 1980, a dedicated group of sportsmen and community leaders decided it was time to develop an environmental education program for the youth of Northampton County. In the continuing effort to instill a positive attitude, leadership skills, and a conservation ethic among our youth, the Northampton County Junior Conservation School continues providing this unique experience every year. The conserva

tion school is staffed by a group of dedicated volunteers composed of sportsmen, returning students, community leaders, state agencies, and organizations. Only for one week in July, the school offers 35 boys and girls between the ages of 14 and 17 an opportunity to work with other youth and adults in a hands-on, practical, non-traditional learning experience.
