We had the opportunity to host the Independence County Pantry Leaders Meeting for agency partners with the Arkansas Foodbank yesterday morning. The team from Little Rock came up and led discussions on how we can all better serve our neighbors to alleviate food insecurity in our region.

Every pantry in our county is working to reduce these sobering statistics…

👉🏻 1 in 5 Arkansans are food insecure
👉🏻 1 in 4 children in Arkansas are food insecure
👉🏻 1 in 8 seniors in Arkansas are food insecure
👉🏻 Arkansas is 1st in the nation for food insecurity, according to the USDA
