These congregations are busy organizing tasty churchwide events to make a real difference for local kids in foster care this fall.

It's not too late to get your church involved! We’ve designated November as Souper Sunday month, but your church can pick any Sunday that fits your calendar.

How It Works:
🥣 Host a Soup Sale: Church members cook up their best soups, stews, or chilis to sell by the bowl or quart after your worship service.
📦 We Provide the Gear: The CALL provides all the soup containers and labels!
💙 Make an Impact: 100% of proceeds go to The CALL in Sharp and Independence Counties, directly supporting local foster and adoptive families for the Christmas season and beyond.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for our Season Switch-a-Roo on Tuesday evening! Thanks to your hard work, our spring and summer items are packed away, and The CALL Mall is now fully stocked with warm fall and winter clothing.

Having a well-organized CALL Mall filled with high-quality, free clothing does so much more than just meet a practical need during a crucial transition—it provides foster children and families with a true sense of dignity, care, and worth.

We are so grateful for our amazing volunteers who showed up, served, and made light work of a big task. Your time and hearts truly make a difference in our community! 💙🍂

All donations directly support local children and families impacted by foster care right here in our community.

Here is what we are in need of this month:
▫️ Size 4 Diapers
▫️ Individually packaged snacks
▫️ Pajamas (3T–14)
▫️ Men’s & Women’s underwear (new, S–XXL)
▫️ Men’s socks (new)
▫️ Twin mattress (in box)

📦 How to Donate:

Drop Off: You can place items in our outdoor donation box located under the carport at 411 S Central Ave., Batesville, AR.

Huge thanks to two of our favorite volunteers for coming out to the Support Center last week! Affiliate Director Ashley's parents lent a hand to spruce up our front flower beds, and what a difference a little love (and weeding!) makes.

Whether it's pulling weeds, helping organize, or tackling a quick weekend project, there are always simple ways to pitch in! Every extra pair of hands helps make the Support Center a warmer, cozier, and more welcoming space for our local families during their weekly visits.

Raising compassionate, empathetic kids who love like Jesus and step toward hard things calls us into brave, honest conversations. We know topics like abuse, neglect, addiction, and foster care can feel heavy to bring up around the dinner table.

But here’s the hope: everyone in your family can do something to engage in foster care in our communities.

With the right tools and age-appropriate conversations, your kids can begin to understand what it means to care for vulnerable children in our community and live out what the Bible teaches about loving our neighbors.

Feeling called to support local foster families but not sure where to start? Here are three ways to support foster families in your church and community!

𝟭. 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 (𝗥𝗙𝗦𝗦)
Walk alongside a local foster family by being intentional and praying faithfully. Check in regularly, offer practical help, or be the fun aunt or uncle! Most of all, be a consistent source of encouragement and love as you walk with the family through their foster care journey.

𝟮. 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵
Join with three other church members to provide ongoing, intentional care to a foster family through prayer, meals, and regular connection. It’s a simple way for your church to put faith into action and surround a foster family with the love and support they need.

𝟯. 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟
There are plenty of ways to serve in ways that match your giftings—and schedules! Help at a family support event, join a prayer team, lend a hand in a local project, or find other ways your talents and interests can serve children and families in need. Whether you serve once or regularly, there’s a place for you.
