Colic isn't a single disease. It's an umbrella term that describes any form of abdominal pain in a horse 🐴

Over 40 different conditions can cause colic, from a simple spasm to a twist that needs surgery.

And from the outside, particularly in the early stages, they can look remarkably similar 🔍

Most horse owners are surprised when I share with them that colic has so many underlying potential causes.

And with well over 1,000,000 horses worldwide affected by colic every year, there’s still so much about colic that I believe owners deserve to know.

So over the next few weeks, I'm going to dive deep on colic, so stay tuned, and in the meantime, I'd love to know - did you already know this about colic, or is this new knowledge for you?

Please take a moment to check out my friend’s charity. He’s raising money for a good cause, and any support you can give would mean a lot. If you’re able to donate or share it with others, I’d be grateful. Mallard 5 +1 Farmhouse

Thank you, and God bless you! 🙏

So we cut open the big pumpkin to get the seeds out to sell for charity, and now good ol Facebook only lets me share 2 links a month without paying. So if you're interested in growing one of these seeds yourself and helping a great charity out at the same time, then go to my latest YouTube video and the link is in the description. Or you can send me a message on here and I will send you the link so you can look with no obligation to purchase. I'm really excited about helping Pennies from Heaven! Thanks for the support everyone!

Help us share this!
I get it. Money is tight right now. For a lot of families, there just isn’t anything extra to give. We understand that at Britten Farms Horse Rescue, because we feel that struggle too. ❤️

But what if you could help a horse get a second chance without spending a single dollar?

All it takes is a little of your time. Please subscribe to our YouTube channel, watch a video, give it a like, leave a comment, and share it with a friend. Every bit of support helps more people discover these horses and the journey they’re on.

We’re working toward 1,000 subscribers and the watch time needed to earn money from YouTube. Reaching that goal could help us pay for feed and continue caring for horses that need a safe place to land. You could be part of making that happen.

If you’ve ever looked into a horse’s eyes and felt they deserved another chance, please join us. Watch their stories unfold. Tell us in the comments where you’re watching from, and help us welcome more people into this little community. 🐴
