Lexington First Steps We support families in Lexington County, South Carolina so that all children enter school ready to learn.

Since 2001, our goal has been to ensure that every family has access to the culturally appropriate, coordinated, and comprehensive parenting and family services that are necessary to assure child readiness to learn by first grade, improve the quality of childcare and early childhood education in Lexington County, and develop the infrastructure necessary to ensure the future attainment and sustaina

bility of all First Steps initiatives. We do this by providing programs like Parents as Teachers, the Imagination Library, Countdown to Kindergarten, Child Care Training, Four-Year-Old Kindergarten, PASOs, and BOOST Beginning Opportunities.
