🎉 Registration is OPEN! 🎉

Fall STEM classes are now open for registration! Visit goscitech.org to explore our classes and reserve your spot.

This session, we're trying something a little different. As a nonprofit, every dollar helps us continue bringing high-quality STEM education to children throughout our community. We work hard to keep our programs affordable, and this fall we're introducing Pay What You Want pricing.

Each class has a minimum registration fee that covers the cost of materials and staffing. If you're able to contribute a little more, your generosity will help us expand our programs and continue making STEM accessible to even more children. It's never expected—but it is always deeply appreciated.

🎉 Registration is launching in just a few minutes!

This fall we're trying something a little different.

To help keep STEM education accessible for all families, our classes are now **Pay What You Want**. Every class has a minimum ticket price that covers the cost of staffing and supplies.

If your family is able and feels called to give a little extra, you can add a few dollars to your registration. Every contribution helps us continue bringing hands-on STEM experiences to more children throughout our community.

Did you know airplane wings aren't flat? 🤯

Airplane wings are actually curved on top and flatter on the bottom. This special shape, called an airfoil, helps air move faster over the top of the wing than underneath it, creating the lift that allows an airplane to soar through the sky!

Next time you see an airplane, take a closer look at its wings—you'll notice they're carefully designed to help keep thousands of pounds flying through the air! 🌤️

Sometimes science requires a little flexibility! 🌤️

To keep everyone safe during the poor air quality, we brought all of today's summer camp activities indoors—and the fun didn't stop! Our campers explored the Animal Kingdom, created water habitat art, and even brought the outdoors inside with hands-on erosion experiments.

At SciTech, a change in plans just means a new opportunity to learn, explore, and get creative! 💚🔬

Did you know that fungi are more closely related to animals than they are to plants? 🤯

Even though mushrooms grow in the ground like plants, they're actually more closely related to animals! That's because fungi can't make their own food through photosynthesis. Instead, they absorb nutrients from their surroundings, making them very different from plants.

From breaking down dead leaves in the forest to helping us make bread, chocolate, and certain medicines, fungi are some of nature's hardest workers!
