Cub Scout Pack 742 - Batavia, Ohio

We had a fun-filled day of fishing at Camp Craig with the pack on Sunday! 🎣

A huge thank you to all the new families who came out and joined us - we caught over 100 fish combined!

Congratulations to our derby winners:

🏆 Most Fish Caught: McRoberts family — 14 fish
🏆 Largest Fish: Walls family — 11” crappie
🏆 Smallest Fish: Snaglewski family — 4 1/2” bluegill

Special congrats to Rachael Walls on catching her first fish and insisting on the full experience taking it off the hook and releasing it herself! It was awesome to see the excitement.

We caught three different species: bluegill, largemouth bass, and crappie. We also saw lots of turtles and even spotted some wild turkeys on our way back.

It was a great day with our Pack families. Stay tuned for our next adventure together! 🐟

Congratulations to all of our Scouts and families on an incredible Blue & Gold Celebration!

This event is always one of the highlights of the year, and this one did not disappoint. From the amazing Scout-themed cakes (seriously… some of those belonged on a baking show 😄) to the well-earned awards and our 5th grade crossover, it was a night full of pride, fun, and a few “how are they growing up this fast?” moments.

To our Scouts — you should be proud of everything you’ve accomplished. Your hard work, teamwork, and spirit are what make this pack so special.

To our families — thank you. None of this happens without your time, support, and willingness to jump in and help (and occasionally haul a cake or two).

And a special congratulations to our Arrow of Light Scouts as they take the next step in their journey. We know you’re going to do great things.

We’re building something special here in Pack 742, and it shows more every year.

What a weekend for Pack 742! 🏕️

We had an absolute blast camping at Cub World—staying in the Fort made it feel like a real adventure from the moment we arrived. The Scouts got to try their skills at BB guns, archery, and fishing, and let’s just say… there were some future sharpshooters and anglers in the making! 🎯🎣

Of course, no Cub Scout weekend is complete without a little muddy fun—playing in the creek might have been the highlight for a lot of them (and maybe a few adults too). 😄

Weekends like this are what it’s all about—getting outdoors, trying new things, building confidence, and making memories that stick. Proud of all our Scouts for jumping in and giving everything a shot!

Already looking forward to the next adventure! 💪🔥

We are teaming up with Scouting America to help make 10,000 Christmas cards for the troops. Please have your scouts (friends can help too) submit their cards to leadership by November 15. On the cards: first names only and you can write Pack 742, Batavia, OH otherwise get creative!
