On February 22, 2026 around 2024hrs, Brothers Jetter, Hartness, Heizer, and Ferrell demonstrated exactly why we train the way we do when they responded to reports of an MVA/vehicle into the river.
Upon arrival, crews were faced with a rapidly evolving situation where time was critical. Working quickly and efficiently, crews moved into position, coordinated their efforts, and were able to safely remove the occupant from with the assistance of your Clermont County Sherrifs Deputies, and your Clermont County Communications Center 911 Dispatcher (Davidson)!
Incidents like this are exactly why firefighters train the way we do. Water-related vehicle incidents can turn deadly in minutes, and the ability to operate calmly, communicate effectively, and rely on practiced skills makes all the difference.
Thanks to the ongoing training, teamwork, and professionalism of your firefighters, this rescue was carried out safely and efficiently, resulting in a positive outcome for everyone involved, and making a difference in our Community and living up to our motto โProud to be of Service.โ Check out the story Good Morning America put together.
