Another testimony from our summer Honduras trip! 🇭🇳

This trip changed me forever.

At youth camp, as we prayed over the students, I felt the Lord speaking something personal for each person I prayed for. It was such an honor to be used that way.

One moment I’ll never forget was when God led me to a teenage girl who hadn’t come forward. I felt Him say, “Since she won’t come to the front, I am meeting her where she is by sending you to her.” ❤️

Another was simply holding a little girl as we worshipped. I felt the Lord say, “Don’t let go of her until she’s done getting what she needs.” It reminded me that sometimes the simplest act, like a hug, can be ministry.

A reminder that the world is bigger than our little corner of it. 🇭🇳🌎 Sometimes we get so caught up in our own little world that we forget just how much there is beyond it. Grateful for the opportunity to step outside of the familiar, meet new people, and see a little more of God’s world. ❤️

📣AUGUST BREAKFAST CANCELED📣

Out of respect and support for one of the men in our community and his family following the heartbreaking loss of his son, we have made the decision to cancel our breakfast this month, as the funeral will be held the same day.

We want to give our men the opportunity to come alongside this family, offer support, and be present during this difficult time.

Please keep the entire family in your prayers in the days ahead.

We’ll see everyone back at our next United Grounds Breakfast in September. 🙏

One of our favorite parts of every trip is hearing how God worked in each person’s heart. Over the next few weeks, we want to share some of our team’s reflections from Honduras, in their own words. Here’s what this trip meant to one of our team members:

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We visited a technical school where students were presenting the rich history of Honduras through song, dance, and homemade costumes made from the humble ingredients of corn, beans, and rice. The pride and creativity of their efforts captured my heart. We didn’t do anything special while we were there. We sat and watched, and somehow, that meant the world to them. Sometimes, it’s not about what we do for others, it’s how we honor and love them by simply being with them.
