Volunteer opportunities this fall! 🍂

Do you love the trails at Colorado River Refuge and want to give back to your community? Did you know that all of our trail maintenance is done by volunteers??

Join us on the first Sunday of each month, from 9 AM–12 PM, for a morning of community trail service at the Refuge. We’ll be getting outside, getting a little dirty, and helping keep these trails welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

Whether you’re a longtime volunteer or joining us for the first time, come lend a hand, meet some great people, and help take care of a place we all get to enjoy. 🥾

First Sundays of the month | 9 AM–12 PM

Kids Nature Classes are back!

Join us for three hands-on adventures this fall as we explore trees, freshwater fish, and pollinators as we discover the wild and wonderful things happening all around us. Each class is all about hands-on discovery, curiosity, and nurturing a lifelong love of nature.

Come ready to explore, get curious, and have some fun outside!

🐝 November 18 — Pollinators

⚠️ Trail Safety Alert ⚠️
Although water levels are receding, conditions at the Colorado River Refuge remain hazardous. Portions of our trail system were underwater yesterday, leaving behind mud, debris, and slick trail surfaces. River flow also remains high, with stronger-than-normal currents.

For your safety, we recommend avoiding the river trails until conditions have improved. Thank you for helping us keep both visitors and our trails safe!
