Our apologies for the limited communications but our 11 day Tennessee Operation is a wrap! Denice made it back to Texas late yesterday and loved the time she got to spend with our friends at Animal Rescue Corps. She was able to help with 15 volunteer shifts at their shelter and fell in love with the animals from Operation Little Dogs Big Hearts.
They took on 4 serious cases within a couple of weeks time so their shelter was loud and bustling. Imagine a safe space designed for hundreds of animals that literally shifts and pivots with each new intake. From clinic, grooming, isolation, and general population areas, their facility is dream state. Animal pens, kennels, runs, and aviaries are all literally set up for each new intake which often involves the shifting of animals in each area to ensure safety protocols for animals coming in with all different innoculation statuses, health, behavioral and emotional concerns.
The little dogs were the newest to arrive so our work was helping to support their various needs and while leaving was difficult, we know they are in the best hands. Denice's last day she got to spend some good time with one of their co-founders, Tim Woodward, a 2025 CNN Hero of the Year nominee and finalist. We thank them for their friendship and all of their efforts for animals in need.
