The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is a unique education agency with a statewide network of professional educators, trained volunteers, and county offices. It reaches into every Texas county to address local priority needs. Some of our major efforts are in mitigating drought impacts; conserving water use in homes, landscapes, and production agriculture; improving emergency management; enhancing food security; and protecting human health through education about diet, exercise, and disease prevention and management. AgriLife Extension demonstrates the latest technology and best practices to improve the state’s food and fiber system, which serves all Texas consumers and contributes nine percent of the gross domestic product. We wanted to send a quick reminder to join us at our County Council Meeting tomorrow evening, 10/8! We are going to have a lesson in German food and business etiquette with a light supper included.

Open to ALL Bastrop County 4-H & FFA members. They’ll cover fundraiser tickets, auction/donation items & membership dues. Dues are due at the meeting—bring payment + a copy of your W-9.

Hey all!

Quick enrollment reminder - anyone who would like to show animals, participate in club meetings, or any other 4-H activities will need to enroll / RE-enroll for the current 4-H year.

We are also switching enrollment systems this year - the State has just released the new TX4H system at https://tx4h.tamu.edu/

Hey all!!

We wanted to send another quick reminder that the BCJLS / ELSA September meeting is happening this coming Monday, 9/14.

This show is open to ALL 4-H & FFA members in the county, but does require families to join the association and attend the meetings for information. This meeting will be covering the rules and important dates for this year.

We'll be sharing more information once the rules are received.

Late tag orders are due NEXT Thursday, 9/17 for Lambs, Goats, and Heifers.

Please Join us for 4-H Fun night! Come learn more about the projects that are happening in the county from youth currently participating and ask any questions you might have about the 4-H program!

We'll have on-site enrollment, copies of local livestock show rules, and other county, district, and state opportunities!

Howdy!!

We wanted to send a quick reminder that the Bastrop Area Livestock Show (BALSFA) is hosting their BBQ Fundraiser on Saturday, 9/12.

They do need donations to help with the auction from both 4-H & FFA members. Donations may be dropped off on Friday, 9/11, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
