🌿 Another beautiful week in Boudinot’s Giving Garden!

From colorful flowers and flourishing herbs to pumpkins, winter squash, tomatoes, carrots, beets, and so much more, the garden is bursting with life this August.

This week also brought another wonderful harvest for our local veterans and food pantry, made possible by an incredible team of volunteers, including a wonderful intergenerational team of Jody and her grandson Will and Ella.

Thanks to everyone’s hard work, the Giving Garden has now donated 1,672 pounds of fresh produce this season - and we’re not done yet!

Every w**d pulled, every vegetable picked, and every volunteer hour helps nourish our neighbors. Thank you to everyone who makes this garden thrive. 💚

Another wonderful morning in Boudinot’s Giving Garden! 🌱🍅🥕

A huge thank you to the middle school summer campers from St. James, who spent yesterday morning harvesting, sorting, w**ding, and filling boxes with fresh produce for our neighbors in need. Their energy and enthusiasm was so appreciated!

The harvest included tomatoes (lots and lots of tomatoes!), basil, green beans, carrots, zucchini, squash, tomatillos, eggplant, and more - including one delightfully quirky little eggplant that stole the show. 💜

Thursday’s harvest was delivered to the food bank, and another delivery will head to the VA hospital this Saturday.

It truly takes a village - from our dedicated garden volunteers to these amazing young helpers - to keep the Giving Garden growing and giving all season long. Our current total has reached 1,391.1 pounds harvested and donated!

Thank you, St. James campers!🌿

Into the garden I go… 🌿

…to watch bees find the bee balm, tendrils reach for the trellis, tomatoes blush into color, and harvest boxes slowly fill.

Every visit brings something new to discover and another reminder that small acts, repeated with care, grow into something remarkable.

Today was one of those days that made us stop, look around, and simply be grateful.

Garden Mystery of the Week! 🎃🍝

Boudinots Giving Garden volunteers planted pumpkins and spaghetti squash. What no one expected is a vine producing squash with the shape of spaghetti squash but the coloring of little pumpkins!

Gardening has a way of keeping you humble - and entertained. Whether it’s a happy mix-up, a surprise volunteer, or Mother Nature having a little fun, we’re enjoying the mystery and watching to see what these curious squash become.

Stay tuned…we’ll let you know what they’re like when it’s harvest time! 🌱🧡
