Jr High and High School CCD starts next Wednesday 8/19/26 at 6:30 pm in church! Parents and 7-12th grade students are invited to attend. We welcome John Listi as our speaker and music leader!

John was born and raised in Abbeville, LA, John grew up in a home centered around Jesus Christ, where he learned the power of prayer, mercy, and freedom. He attended Mt. Carmel and Vermilion Catholic before completing his undergraduate studies at LSU, where he was heavily involved in campus ministry—leading praise and worship, directing retreats, and developing a passion for sharing the Gospel.

Over the past 30 years, John has been active in various ministry capacities within the Church, including youth ministry, high school campus ministry, young adult ministry, directing men's retreats, and serving as the director of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal for the Diocese of Lafayette. He remains deeply passionate about sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. John currently lives in Abbeville with his family and serves as the Director of Evangelization and Discipleship at his home parish, St. Mary Magdalen.

We will move the Steubenville reunion to Thursday 8/6 at 6:30 beginning with adoration in church followed by a pizza party and planning for the upcoming year.

Thank you to St Augustine Catholic Church for making a $20,000 trip affordable to our young people. Every year is better than the last. It is a privilege to be with young people worshiping our Lord and they never cease to amaze me in regard to what can happen in 3 days. It’s a stepping stone to a closer life with Christ! I’ll see all of you at youth group and ccd this fall! To our chaperones, you make this possible and we could not do it without you!

Good morning from Steubenville!
What a joy it been! We started our weekend with a message from Pope Leo and have truly enjoyed every minute of the conference. Please pray for traveling graves for us today and that each person here may never forgot what it feels like to truly feel the real presence of Jesus!

Attention Steubenville Travelers

Good Morning!
Steubenville begins Friday!
We will meet at 2:00 outside the ccd building. You should pack all your clothes in one suitcase. Please label your suitcase with a piece of tape and your name as it will travel in a trailer so we can take as few cars as possible. You can bring a backpack or tote in the vehicle with things you may need at the coliseum because you will not get to your suitcase again until later Friday night.

We will wear blue shirts Friday, red shirts Saturday and green shirts Sunday. You should have mass appropriate clothes each day. School length shorts or jeans with minimal holes are appropriate. PJs should be appropriate as you sometimes leave your room in the evening. We will have meals and snacks but feel free to pack anything specific you like. There will be a fridge in your room and there are snacks available to purchase. There is also religious merchandise available to purchase.

Kneeling pad and rosary also encouraged. We will be back around 2:00 Sunday. You will need money for lunch Sunday. Looking forward to a wonderful weekend with all of you!
