Basehor Linwood Assistance Services- BLAS
With your help on June 4, 2026 the Food Pantry helped 17 families with 73 family members; which 29 were children.

We want to thank you for your continued support to help us meet this weekly need. Each family takes home between $70 to $90 of groceries each week depending on the size of their family. The pantry is a supplement for families not intended to provide all of their weekly groceries.

Due to space limits we are no longer accepting clothing donations at BLAS.

The Food Pantry is in need of the following items for next Thursday, June 11, 2026:
Canned Peaches
Canned Pineapple
Salsa
Refried Beans
Baking Powder
Instant Chocolate Pudding
Dinty Moore Beef Stew
Sugar
Canned Creamed Corn
Hormel Chili
Qtips
Vegetable Oil
Toilet Paper
Liquid Laundry Detergent

We do not need the following at this time as our shelves are full:
Mac and Cheese
Oatmeal instant
Canned Chicken
Canned Tuna
Green Beans
Whole Corn

While the first day of Summer is still a few weeks away…it appears to be grilling season in Basehor! Our condiment shelves are running thin. Ketchup, relish, ranch, salsa, etc. Even just one item off of our Amazon Wishlist goes a long way. And the best part is they deliver it directly to us! If you have food to donate to BLAS you can drop it off Tuesday mornings from 9 to 11 or Thursday from 4 to 6. 😊

The TTStockers were getting it done today. They wiped down all the shelves, dated, and sorted all the personal hygiene products.
We are getting everything ready for BLAS’ Open House June 13th from 12:30 to 2:30. Atmos has volunteered to grill hot dogs. We will have chips, drinks, and desserts. Hope you will help us celebrate 30 years of serving the community.
Plus they got all the Purple Bag donations ( Thank you United Methodist members) dated, sorted, and put on shelves.
Please give a big hand to Noreen, Denise, Ellen, Jackie, Tressa, Nikki, Pat, Marian, and Dee Ann. 👏👏👏😊
