HOPEWELL-LOUDON STATE SEND-OFF

Thank you to everyone who joined us today in front of Hopewell-Loudon School to help send off our state qualifiers, Ellie Bloom, Lily Brickner, and Aiden Ewald, as they head to the State Track & Field Championships!

It was wonderful to see so many students, staff, family members, first responders, and community members come together to cheer on these outstanding athletes. Thank you for inviting Bascom Fire & EMS to be a part of this special event!

We love seeing our community rally behind our local athletes and show their support. Best of luck to Ellie, Lily, and Aiden! We're all cheering for you and wish you the best at state!

A huge thank you to the Tiffin VFW 2858 for providing a delicious lunch yesterday for Bascom Fire and EMS!

We truly appreciate your generosity, hospitality, and continued support of our department and first responders. It means a lot to our members to have such amazing community support behind us. Thank you again for your kindness and for taking the time to feed our crew!

A special thank you to the bystanders that called in the house fire this morning and everything that you did!

Another thank you to Bascom Carry-Out for providing sandwiches and food for Fire crews on scene. Your generosity was greatly appreciated!!!

We would also like to thank everyone who assisted on scene and helped support our firefighters. Thank you NBS Fire, Kansas Fire, and Washington Twp Fire!

The teamwork and community support are always appreciated during calls like these!

This EMS Week, we proudly recognize and honor the dedicated Paramedics and EMTs who answer the call day and night, without hesitation.

Behind every siren is a team of compassionate professionals who sacrifice time with their families, work long hours, and face difficult situations to care for others during some of life’s most critical moments. Their strength, knowledge, calm demeanor under pressure, and unwavering commitment do not go unnoticed.

Thank you to our EMS members for the care you give, the lives you impact, and the difference you make in our community every single day. Whether responding to emergencies, providing comfort to patients and families, or standing ready when needed most, your service is truly invaluable.

Thank you to the 3rd graders and Kindergarteners from Hopewell-Loudon Elementary for visiting the fire station! We loved spending time with you and showing you around the fire trucks and ambulance.

We hope you had fun learning about fire safety, EMS, and the equipment we use to help keep our community safe every day. Your excitement, curiosity, and smiles made our day!

Thank you again for coming to visit us! We hope to see some future firefighters and EMTs in the group!

Your dedication does not go unnoticed. Day in and day out, you serve our community with professionalism, compassion, and strength, often without the recognition you truly deserve.
From all of us, thank you for being the voice in the dark and the calm in the storm. We appreciate everything you do to keep our crews and our community safe.

Bascom Fire and EMS had a valuable and productive extrication training Monday night. We’re always working to sharpen our skills so we can better serve our community when it matters most.

A big thank you to Keller Bros Enterprise and Jason Keller for generously providing the vehicles and space for this hands-on training. Your support helps make opportunities like this possible!

Our hearts are heavy as we reflect on the tragic loss of four young lives in our area. There are no words that can truly ease the pain felt by the families, friends, and all those impacted by this devastating accident.
We want to take a moment to recognize and thank the first responders who answered the call. In the face of unimaginable circumstances, you showed up with courage, professionalism, and compassion. Bascom Joint Fire District, Ohio State Highway Patrol, ODOT, Seneca County Water Rescue Team, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Tiffin EMS, Tiffin Mercy Hospital, the Seneca County Coroner’s Office, and all other assisting agencies, your dedication does not go unnoticed.
These are the calls that stay with you long after the scene is cleared. The strength it takes to do this work, to care for others on their worst days, is something most will never fully understand. Please know your efforts matter, and your service means everything to this community.
We also keep the victims and their loved ones in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. May they find comfort, strength, and support in the days ahead.
