Basalt Community Design Center The Basalt Community Design Center (BCDC) is a community-oriented organization run by designers to facilitate an honest, open dialogue around design.

The center is staffed by volunteer architects, landscape architects, graphic designers, urban planners, artists, and creative types who believe a strong community core should be founded on the pursuit of great placemaking, stewardship of our natural environment, and community participation. We believe in design science and we believe that great can can lead us to elegant solutions to problem small

and large. We believe that every community has an obligation to address global issues on a local scale and we believe at the heart of every great solution is an engaged creative community.
