🌟 Community Spotlight 🌟

The Children’s Advocacy Center would like to give a special thank you to Lu with the NO LIMITS SOCIAL CLUB and Angela Davis, Coordinator of Polk Co FL Toys for Tots, for their incredible hard work organizing our children’s clothes closet! From clothing and shoes to school supplies, their group of volunteers completely transformed the space, making it more functional so we can better serve families in need.

On top of that, Angela Davis with Polk County Toys for Tots generously donated 100 stuffies 🧸💛

Your willingness to support and uplift our community does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful!

Swipe to see the before and after ✨ Thank you again, from the CAC and all of the families who are excited to enjoy this refreshed space and some new cuddly friends!

What a wheel-y great day! 🚲☀️

This past Saturday, one of our advocates Alicia hit the ground rolling at the Kiwanis Pedalpalooza—and what a beautiful day it was to connect with our community! 💙

We had the chance to provide FREE helmets and share important bike safety tips with so many kiddos and families. And let’s just say… it wasn’t your average bike day 👀

✨ We saw riders showing off some seriously cool tricks
🐯 The Lakeland Flying Tigers mascot Southpaw stopped by to try on a helmet (safety first, always!)
🦎 The GEICO Gecko even made an appearance to model proper helmet use 🙌
🏛️ And a visit from our local Lakeland City Commission helped make the day even more special

Most importantly, we loved seeing so many smiling faces from our community learning how to stay safe while having fun 💛

👉 Stay tuned for more upcoming events, your next chance to grab a FREE helmet might be right around the corner!

This past week, one of our advocates had the opportunity to represent the Children’s Advocacy Center - CHS at the Lauren’s Kids Walk in My Shoes 💙👟

During Child Abuse Prevention Month, we are especially reminded of how powerful community events like this are in raising awareness, honoring survivors, and continuing the important work of prevention and education. The walk creates such a meaningful space that brings people together with one shared mission, to protect children and support healing 🩵🌻

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to the Lauren's Kids team for allowing us to be part of something so impactful. Your dedication and passion continue to inspire real change across our communities 🙌✨

We are also excited to highlight a new initiative from Lauren’s Kids, The Voices Project 🎙️ This powerful oral history project is launching as part of the 2026 Walk in My Shoes and is designed to amplify survivor voices across Florida and beyond. Survivors, family members, and advocates are invited to share their stories through anonymous audio recordings, either in person during the Walk or virtually from anywhere 📩🌎 For more information, please visit their website: https://laurenskidswalk.org/voices/

We are honored to stand alongside partners who continue to elevate survivor voices and strengthen the mission of Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙💛

What a way to kick off Team Member Appreciation Week! 💙

We are feeling so grateful this morning. Huge thank you to Chick-fil-A Bartow for the delicious chicken biscuits and fresh fruit tray that helped us start the day right. And another big thank you to the Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa team, Angela, Wendy, and Cassandra, for treating our staff to relaxing chair massages. You all truly made us feel appreciated and cared for.

It means so much to have a community that pours back into us the same way our team pours into the families we serve every day. This week is all about celebrating our incredible staff, and today was the perfect start. We are so thankful for each and every one of you who helped make this morning special.

As we get ready to head into Team Member Appreciation Week, we just want to say thank you and highlight the CAC's role in preventing Child Abuse. Today is a reminder of the impact you make every single day.
Every day our team shows up for children and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Whether it is providing support, helping families navigate next steps, or working alongside our community partners, the work being done here is all about prevention, protection, and making sure no child has to go through abuse alone 🤝
Child abuse prevention is not just something we talk about in April, it is something our staff lives out every single day through compassion, patience, and commitment to the families we serve 🌟
We are so grateful for every team member who plays a role in this mission. Your work matters more than you know, and it truly makes a difference 💙
Here is to celebrating you and recognizing the impact you make all year long 🎉

Today we wore blue in honor of National Wear Blue Day 💙

Together, we stand for the children in our community; Those whose voices need to be heard, protected, and uplifted. Child abuse prevention starts with awareness, compassion, and action. It starts with all of us.

Every pinwheel represents hope, every conversation spreads awareness, and every act of kindness helps create a safer, brighter future for our children.

We are proud to stand together, advocate together, and remind every child that they are seen, valued, and never alone. 💙

💙 Wear Blue. Stand for a Child. 💙

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, and on April 3rd, we’re asking everyone to show their support by wearing BLUE.

This is more than just a color; it’s a statement. A statement that we see our children; we hear them, and we are committed to protecting them. Every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and valued.

By wearing blue, you’re helping to raise awareness, spark conversations, and stand in solidarity with survivors and advocates working tirelessly to end child abuse.

✨ Take a photo in your blue

✨ Share it on your page

✨ Tag us and use

Together, we can be a voice for the voiceless and a light in the lives of children who need it most.

💙 Because protecting children is everyone’s responsibility. 💙

🍀 A Little Luck, A Lot of Smiles 💛 🍀

Sometimes the most meaningful moments at our Children’s Advocacy Center look like this…

🎨 Crayons
🌈 Rainbows
☘️ Shamrocks
…and a whole lot of imagination

Our kiddos had the chance to create, color, and just be kids for a moment and the joy on this board says it all!

One of our favorite moments?
A very special artist even created a portrait of one of our team members, Angel 🥹💛

These small, creative moments may seem simple, but they are so powerful. They give children space to:
✨ Express themselves
✨ Feel safe
✨ Just breathe for a little while

And that? That’s something truly special.

We feel so lucky to witness these moments every single day. 🍀
