Just wanted to let everyone know ... We’re drowning in books over here — in the best possible way.

The Friends of the Library bookstore has a massive influx of collectible books rolling in, and we’re restocking constantly. Dealers, collectors, treasure hunters… you’re going to want to swing by often because the good stuff is moving fast.

And while you’re here? We also have a mountain of children’s storybooks looking for new homes. Perfect for parents, grandparents, teachers, and anyone building a kid’s library.

Come browse, dig, and discover — the shelves are packed and changing daily.

Congratulations to the 2026 Creative Writing Contest winners!

04/08/2026

All contest authors, friends and family are cordially invited to attend our 2026 Annual Meeting & Creative Writing Contest Awards Ceremony, Thursday, April 09, 2026, at the Bartlesville Public Library in the large meeting room on the 2nd Floor.

In addition to the traditional Creative Writing Contest Awards, the Morris McCorvey Youth Poetry Prize will be awarded to several area youths. The Morris McCorvey Youth Poetry Prize was established in memory of beloved poet, teacher, and community leader Morris McCorvey. Spearheaded by his family and the poetry group he founded and ran for years, this prize honors Morris’s dedication to encouraging young voices in the arts. Funding for the prize comes from his "Hoboetry" project—a jazz poetry vinyl he released shortly before his passing. This special award, part of the annual Bartlesville Public Library Friends of the Library Creative Writing Contest, invites young poets to celebrate their creativity, gain valuable experience and share their work with the community.
