Yesterday, September 30, we gathered for our annual officer and board installation banquet. And it was one of those Kiwanis events that reminded us just how much fun this club can be!

Texas-Oklahoma District Lt. Governor Barry Wilson installed our officers and board for the 2026-27 year:
President โ€“ Grace Farmer
President Elect โ€“ Joe Barnes
Vice President โ€“ Mallory Benne
Secretary โ€“ Konrad Brandemuhl
Treasurer โ€“ Sharon Hurst
Past President - Becky Tupper
Board Directors โ€“ Pat Gamble, Jim Swezey, Rachelle Wilson, Karen Wilson, Waymond White, and Mark White.

We also said goodbye, with great sadness, to outgoing President Kyle Margerum and thanked him for his leadership and service to the club.

And we were very happy to welcome two new members into Kiwanis: Robyn Crow and Casey Stanton. It was a wonderful way to begin a new year for the club.

The lunch had plenty of laughter, a little singing, a few cheers, and a lot of good fellowship. A pretty fitting way to close one Kiwanis year and begin the next.

Looking forward to what 2026-27 will bring!

Todayโ€™s Kiwanis meeting was a great reminder of why we do what we do.

The Key Club officers from Dewey High School joined us at our meeting to share what theyโ€™ve been working on, how we can support them, and their interest in joining us in future Kiwanis projects. Key Club is a service leadership program sponsored by our local club to foster leadership and service in high school students.

I have to say, we were impressed! These students did an outstanding job presenting to our club. Their confidence, professionalism, and ability to speak in front of a group were impressive. But just as impressive was the enthusiasm and energy they brought with them.

Seeing young people step up, take leadership roles, and look for ways to serve their community is exactly what Kiwanis is all about.

Weโ€™re looking forward to working with them!
