🔥Mario’s Hot Pick🔥
From 1977: Sorcerer.
William Friedkin followed up “The Exorcist” with this film. Though the name “Sorcerer” implies something supernatural, it’s just the nickname of one of the GMC trucks featured. Despite two years in the making; with an out of control budget and director, in multiple countries and on multiple continents, this movie was lost in the premier hype of Star Wars. Heavy cameras and celluloid film were the standard in 1977, yet they managed to film the craziest stunts, in the craziest locations with all that analog weight. The cinematography is hauntingly surreal, as is the score by Tangerine Dream.
Starring Roy Schneider, Bruno Cremer, Ramon Bieri & Joe Spinell.
Directed by William Friedkin.

🔥Mario’s Hot Pick🔥
From 2000: Best in Show.
This film has a large ensemble cast. There are as many personalities in the film as there are dog breeds. But Catherine O’Hara’s performance is truly the best in show. The film begins with her and Winky and ends with her and Winky:
“when he made the Norwich merrier
with his cute little ‘derrier’
yes God loves a terrier!”
Starring Fred Willard, Christopher Guest, Eugene Levy, Parker Posey, Micheal McKean, Jennifer Coolidge, Jane Lynch & Catherine O’Hara.
Directed by Christopher Guest.
