At 4:45pm Barry fire was dispatched to a grass fire in the 4800 block of hwy 22 towards Corsicana. Barry Fire responded with Engine3382 and Brush3352, once in route Chief Hale called for mutual aid from Emhouse Fire and Reteat Fire for a tanker and brush truck due to the amount of smoke showing from Barry. Once on scene we found approximately 5acres on fire started by a hay baler. Barry requested Blooming grove to send a brush truck as well and with the help of all units on scene the fire was contained quickly. Once the majority of fire was out Barry released all non Barry units to return to station and Barry VFD remained on scene to finish mop up. We want to thank all the other agencies that showed up to help contain this fire today sometimes it takes us all.
