Let’s talk about what’s happening at Hartley Nature Center!

If you like technical, dialed urban singletrack, this project is a total game-changer. The crew isn’t just doing a quick clean up.

▪️Tearing down 400 feet of old boardwalk
▪️Building 1,600 feet of brand-new singletrack
▪️Reconstructing another 600 feet of existing trail.

These young adults are learning exactly what it takes to build world-class trail systems from the dirt up. Think of them next time you’re flying through Hartley!

Our crews are officially heading north for two heavy weeks of fieldwork. They are teaming up with the Cyclists of Gitchee Gumme Shores () and the Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa (CCMI) () to knock out some huge trail projects!

First up: The Duluth Traverse Spine

Ever try riding a trail when the brush has completely taken over? Not too fun. The crews are opening up corridor clearance along the main 44-mile Duluth Traverse route so you have clear sightlines during peak riding season.

First up on our summer drop-in series, we’re heading to a rugged masterpiece: Split Rock Wilds!

If you haven’t been yet, load up the bike and head to Two Harbors, Minnesota. This network serves up just over 25 miles of diverse singletrack overlooking epic North Shore Scenery.

Test your tech skills on Brinkmanship, find your flow on Charlie Girl (named after Tracy’s Bernese Mountain Dog), or send it down Yuka’s Paradise.

Dirt Candy will be making a return to the OTM Trail here. We had some damage during heavy rain last year and they will be restoring the jumps and fixing the drainage. We are stoked to see their return!

Keep an eye out for our upcoming post where we’ll talk all about the work WisCorps will be doing out on the trails here this summer!
