Many teams have asked for the fundraising efforts to stay local...in Barron County. I have been working with Marshfield Clinic and still waiting to hear from Mayo.
So far from Marshfield Clinic I have a couple different places that our funds that we raise can go. You can choose how the funds are distributed.
There are two funds that you can support which will directly impact patients at MMC – Rice Lake.
Rice Lake Cancer Care Fund - Provides for patient comfort items, distraction items for use during treatment, comfort packs for newly diagnosed patients, support groups, resources and educational materials, celebration packs for end-of-treatment, and other needs such as comfort items like wigs, scarves and hats in a cancer center boutique (on our wish list).
Angel Fund – Offers patients in need assistance with basic, non-medical expenses like rent, utilities, transportation, and groceries.
If your group wishes to support cancer care in Rice Lake, they can make their check out to MCHS Foundation. Have them indicate in the memo line which fund they want to support (i.e. Rice Lake cancer care, or Rice Lake Angel Fund). We are a 501c3 organization, so all gifts are tax deductible.
I am also including a link to our online giving page if that is easier to use for some. When donating online, they can pick a designation from the drop down menu and “Cancer Care – Rice Lake” is an option.

If you have any questions, please email me or give me a call at 715-897-3741. And stay in touch, I would love to hear how your team does and how much they raise. You are doing amazing work and will make an impact across your county by giving to Marshfield Clinic and Mayo. Thank you!! Sheri Dick
