🎃🤍 Have a Halloween costume your little one has outgrown? We’d love to give it a second life!

River & Root is proud to be a collection site for the Jersey Cares Halloween Costume Drive, helping provide Halloween costumes to children living in shelters and families in need throughout New Jersey.

And we’d love your help!

👻 Here’s how to donate:

🎃 Gather any clean, gently used Halloween costumes your family no longer needs.

🤍 Please place each costume in a sealed Ziploc bag or reusable bag INDIVIDUALLY. 🙏🏻

📍 Drop it off at River & Root anytime before Saturday 10/17! Or if you’re registered to attend our trunk or treat you can bring it then. We have a clearly labeled patio box right outside our parking lot, so you can drop off donations without coming inside. Or, if you’re joining us for play, feel free to bring your donation in with you!

🎟️ As a little thank-you, you’ll receive a $5 coupon toward a future River & Root Open Play session, class or special event!

Every child deserves the chance to dress up, feel special and enjoy the fun of Halloween. Something as simple as passing along a costume your family no longer needs can help make that possible.

Let’s help more little ones enjoy Halloween this year! 🎃🤍

Little movements turn into big milestones. 🤍

Baby Play Lab gives babies 0–6 months time to stretch, reach, roll, explore, and play alongside their caregiver.

Our OT-led class offers simple, developmentally appropriate activities, plus time for caregivers to ask questions and connect while babies learn through play. https://shop.beyonk.com/mofe1iac/experiences/ex_jferiqk6vvcnnt3z?group=js1g

Our River & Root canoe got a fall makeover and LOOK AT HER. 😍🍂

Our friends at The Front Step Studio filled our canoe to the brim with the most gorgeous heirloom pumpkins, and it truly brought the whole front of River & Root to life for fall. The colors, the shapes, the layers of pumpkins… it is even more beautiful in person.

If you’re coming to play this week, make sure you stop out front to see it (and take a fall photo while you’re there!).

And if this has you wanting the same look at your own home or business, go check out The Front Step Studio! They create curated heirloom pumpkin installations throughout South Jersey and take care of the whole thing, from designing and sourcing to delivering and installing, so you get a beautiful fall display without hauling a single pumpkin yourself.

They only have a couple of collections remaining for this fall season, so go follow The Front Step Studio and check out the link in their bio to join their waitlist before they’re gone!

Thank you, The Front Step Studio, for making our little corner of Barrington look so beautiful this fall. 🤍🍂
