It’s not only Jim here, but we have a team of great people, veterans, guides, and patriots that make this all happen Jamie Stevens being one of them

Rochester Elks #1393 is happy to present the 2026-27 Freedom Grant for $1000 to Fishing For Freedom
On September 29, 2026, Rochester Elks Lodge #1393 presented Fishing for Freedom with a check for $1000.
Fishing for Freedom was founded in 2025 by Jim Saccoccia of Barrington, NH. Jim organizes therapeutic fishing outings for veterans and first responders, focusing on community, camaraderie, and sustainability.
Fishing for Freedom empowers veterans by organizing therapeutic fishing outings that reconnect them with nature, foster camaraderie, and provide nutritious protein through sustainable catch-and-keep experiences. Fishing for Freedom supports veterans in New Hampshire and Maine regardless of physical ability.
Fishing for Freedom works closely with local fishing guides and community members to create meaningful, restorative experiences on the water. For them, "every outing is about more than the catch - it's about healing together".

🚨 ATTENTION FISHING FOR FREEDOM PARTICIPANTS 🚨

To everyone who was planning to fish with us this Saturday, September 26th, unfortunately we have to cancel the trip due to the extreme weather and unsafe sea conditions coming in with the Nor’easter.

The safety of our veterans, first responders, volunteers, and crew will always come first.

🎣 The good news — we’ve rescheduled the trip for November 6th!

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to getting back out there with you in November!

For rescheduling confirmations, please get in contact with Jamie Stevens or Jim Henry Saccoccia

🇺🇸 Same mission. Different day.

🎣🇺🇸 What a day on the water for Fishing For Freedom!

We headed out aboard the F/V Nor'easter today with Captain Mike and Deckhand Pablo, and we absolutely SLAYED the po***ck! 🐟🔥

The weather was amazing, the fishing was even better, and everyone headed home with at least FOUR bags of fresh fish!

A HUGE thank you to our trip sponsor, Hogan Flooring, for making today possible. Support from businesses like yours allows us to continue getting veterans, active-duty military, and first responders out on the water for days filled with fishing, camaraderie, and memories. 🇺🇸

George Calef Fine Foods, LLC. Sandos where excellent as always

And a big thank you to Captain Mike and Pablo for putting us on the fish and giving our crew one heck of a day!

Camaraderie. Fishing. Freedom. 🇺🇸🎣
