Wednesday evening, Jonah and Law Burks had the opportunity to speak with BYF middle school athletes about the dangers of fentanyl and the importance of making informed decisions.

We’re grateful to BYF for helping us bring this conversation to young athletes, and we’re proud to see the team supporting the mission by wearing Josh Burks Foundation helmet decals throughout the season.

Congratulations to the Waller family on capturing their second consecutive championship, earning the title after a tiebreaker. We’d also like to congratulate all of our special award winners on a great day of competition.

To everyone who joined us, our golfers, lunch guests, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who helped make this event possible, thank you. Your support made for another incredible day celebrating Josh’s life and legacy.

While the competition was fun, the true purpose of this event is much greater. Together, we are raising awareness, educating our communities, and working toward our mission of saving lives.

🎓 JBF Speaks to 1,100 Seniors at Lane Tech!
We’re thrilled to share this 2-minute snippet of the presentation that Song for Charlie and the Josh Burks Foundation delivered together to the graduating class at Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago, Illinois.
First off, thank you to Lane Tech College Prep for welcoming us into your halls and allowing us to have a productive and meaningful conversation about the dangers of fentanyl as these students prepare to head into college and the next chapters of their lives.

Today at BHS, nearly 700 freshmen across the school day were peer-taught about the dangers of fentanyl by students from the Josh Burks Foundation Council.

This student-led club continues to make a real impact by educating their classmates, spreading awareness, and helping protect young people in our community.

A huge thank you to the JBFC students, Barrington High School staff, teachers, and administrators who helped make today possible. We are so proud to see Josh’s legacy carried forward through student leadership, education, and community support. 💙
