Update, Cooper is home and safe!! Thanks to everyone who said an extra kitty prayer for a good outcome!
Hello everyone! This is Cooper, he is a 2-3 year old VERY SHY indoor only cat who belongs to a Barrington Senior Citizen resident - she needs some help from neighbors and the community! Cooper and his Mom live on Hemlock Dr in Barrington backing up to Sherwood field. He pushed out of the front door and slipped away. He has not been outside before and is likely very scared as is his owner. Kind staff from Warren Animal Hospital who know Cooper & the owner are attempting to help - the immediate area has been searched and he’s not been spotted. The most useful help right now is keeping an eye out to try to determine where he is so that a trap can be set or those who know him can attempt to catch him.
If you see Cooper, please call or text Caroline (a wonderful vet tech) at 401-601-2313 right away. She can reach the owner most quickly. Unfortunately animal control / Barrington PD were contacted to see if they might be willing to assist in anyway, but they were not. So as is so often the case, help for older residents and animals (other than dogs who thankfully do get help now) will need to come from neighbors and kind local people always willing to help. Thankfully we happen to know for a fact that there are lots of you out there!
