This week's Hebrew School lesson was POWERFUL!!!

Our children are important soldiers in G-d's Army of Goodness (Tzivot Hashem)!

We are participating in a GLOBAL CAMPAIGN that encourages children around the world to collectively reach 500,000 Mitzvahs in the next 2 weeks!!!!

Wow wow wow what a busy week it has been here at Chabad of Barrington,
On Monday we had a great class at Hebrew school, we learned all about preparing for pesach and how to get rid of the chometz and prepare our homes for pesach, we then watched a fascinating video, of the process of baking handmade special Shmurah matza, and if course finished with practising the mah nishtana the 4 questions.
On Tuesday we had a great women's program, we learned about the Miriam the prophetess who has such great faith in Egypt that she encouraged the Jewish women to make tambourines so they will be ready for the redemption. We to painted or tambourines, ready for moshiach to come and take is out of this exile.
Then today on Thursday, we packed and mailed out the Matza to our friends and community members.
Pesach is definitely in the air, the time of hope and freedom.

What a great event, celebrating these hard working kids, we are so proud of all the kids at Chabad Hebrew School.
The hours that you put in, really paid off.
Keep up the great work, keep studying learning and growing.
Congratulations to our 3 to finalists who will be representing out Hebrew school at the international JewQ event.

What a great time having Hamantashen with friends for Purim.
Kneading rolling pinching and filling all feels better when you do it with friends.

Purim at Chabad of Barrington is always that fun time when we get together as a community for a great big Purim feast, listen to the book of Ester, share gifts of food and give Tzedakah.

Another great week at Hebrew school.

This week in the younger class we discuss the mitzvah of keeping kosher and what are the special signs that different animals birds and fish need to have to be kosher. We went on lots of virtual field trips to different stores and locations to help us understand the basic signs and background of the food we eat.

In there older class we learned the beautiful mitzva of Mezuzah, we discussed how a Mezuzah brings protection to our homes, and helps shield us from the outside world. We spoke about how the doorway is in between the home and the outside world, and how stopping to kiss the Mezuzah helpes us be mindful of Hashem and his protection over us,
We played a virtual escape room and with all the Mezuzah clues, we managed to escape.
We then made beautiful Mezuzah cases to hang in our homes.

Last night we had a great chance to "get together" with lots of people we have missed for a long time.
It was so much fun to sit together and do and awesome craft, with great friends and amazing energy.
We discussed different ways people are compared to trees and some important lessons we can take in our daily lives.
The silver lining of this difficult time is that we can use technology to do all kinds of fun stuff,
