Human trafficking is evolving and so must the way we fight it.
At the Data Decoded LDM Meetup, I spoke on “Data Against Darkness: AI vs. Trafficking”bringing focus to how digital ecosystems are increasingly being used to enable exploitation, and how we can use that same data to fight back.
It was genuinely encouraging to connect with so many of you who showed interest in this cause conversations like these are important, and they matter.
Today, trafficking is no longer confined to physical spaces. It exists across millions of daily online interactions hidden within patterns, behaviors, and networks that often go unnoticed.
But there is also a powerful shift underway.
With data and AI, we can:
• Detect patterns across fragmented digital platforms
• Uncover hidden networks operating in plain sight
• Enable faster, more targeted interventions
• Support frontline organizations with actionable intelligence
Technology is no longer just supporting this fight it is redefining it.
However, technology alone isn’t enough.
Real impact requires awareness, collaboration, and sustained action.
If this resonates with you, I encourage you to take the next step.
