March Madness is back, and so are the Borges boys!

The return of tournament season also signals the countdown to our Golf Fights Cancer marathon this June. This year, Tyler and Owen Borges are leveling up from a duo to a proper foursome, welcoming MHFF Board Member Barry Mello and friend Tyler Costa to the team!

To kick off our fundraising, we’re hosting a 50/50 March Madness Bracket. It’s $30 per team and open to everyone:

$15 goes directly into the pot for cash prizes.

$15 goes to MHFF, helping us fund grants that improve the lives of cancer patients throughout MA and RI.

Note: Cash payouts for the top three finishers will be determined once the final bracket count is in. 🏀

As always, thank you for supporting our efforts and helping us make a difference! ❤️

Signs of spring... blue skies, lunch break by the delivery bay, and a cart full of Comfort Bags 💙

On Tuesday we had the privilege of dropping off a fresh batch of Comfort Bags at Tufts Medical Center. Thank you to the incredible doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who welcomed us — and for letting us infiltrate North 8 for a bit!

And a special thank you to Denise (North 8 nurse pictured) who helped make the delivery extra special.

Grateful for the people who care for others every single day 💙

The Michael H. Flanagan Foundation is deeply grateful to AMETEK Brookfield and the for their generous support. Brookfield nominated our foundation in recognition of more than 24 years of providing comfort and care to leukemia and bone marrow transplant patients and their families. This meaningful donation helps further our mission to enhance quality of life and raise awareness for those facing incredibly challenging journeys.
We were honored to visit the Brookfield Team on December 22, 2025, and to share this special moment. Christine Griffin, MHFF Director, and Mike and Kathy Flanagan, parents and founders are pictured with the Brookfield team including MHFF Board Member and Brookfield Global Divisional Vice President of Sales Greg Greenberg, during the check presentation. Their generosity and belief in our mission truly make a difference.

📣 Visionaries of the Year Action Day is TODAY!

We’re thrilled to introduce Emily Cusimano as a 2025 New England Visionaries of the Year candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)!
Each spring, LLS launches its Visionaries of the Year campaign—a powerful nationwide effort running from March 27 to June 5. Teams across New England unite to raise critical funds for LLS, the largest nonprofit dedicated to ending blood cancers.

Emily’s campaign is deeply personal. She met Michael during their sophomore year at Providence College, and remained close throughout his brave three-year battle with leukemia. In his honor, Emily is dedicating her campaign to supporting patients and families facing these diagnoses, with a special focus on Patient Support.

💛 Every donation fuels research, care, and hope for those affected by leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma.

Join us as we rally tomorrow—and every day—to help Emily reach her goal and make a lasting impact in Michael’s name.
