We made our voices heard on Capitol Hill! 📣💙 Hundreds of AFSP Volunteer Advocates gathered in person for our 17th Annual Advocacy Forum and the VT Chapter spoke with Sen. Sanders, Sen. Welch, and Congresswoman Balint about the Improving Servicemember Transition to Reduce Veteran Su***de Act (H.R.2878/S.2096), Stabilization to Prevent (STOP) Su***de Act (H.R. 8124), and the Barriers to Su***de Act (H.R. 3505). This May, we’re joining a national movement for su***de prevention through A Million in May 💚

Every life lost to su***de impacts at least 135 people — reaching far beyond one person, including families and communities right here in Vermont. Su***de is the 2nd leading cause of death in Vermont for ages 15–44.

Please consider making a gift to the Vermont Chapter of AFSP to help expand education, advocacy, support, and prevention programs in our local community, while also advancing this important work nationwide. 🌎✨
