VFW Post 790 The VFW is a nonprofit organization that provides support to veterans, military members, and their dependents.

The VFW's mission is to:
Foster camaraderie among veterans
Serve veterans, the military, and communities
Advocate for veterans
Ensure veterans are respected and receive their earned entitlements
Preserve and defend the United States

Thee VFW is hosting a pig roast fundraiser for the Barre Veterans Council that has representatives from the Elks, VFW, American Legion and the Sons of the Civil War. They are responsible for the flags lining Main Street Barre and organizing the Memorial Day and Veterans Day parades. Tickets are available at the VFW, Elks and the American Legion

We are holding our annual election of officers at our April monthly meeting. VFW members are encouraged to attend and vote for officers on April 9th , The club will close at 6:30 pm for the meeting of VFW members from 6:30pm until 8:00pm
