Attention all members and friends of the Barre Fish and Game Club, as on Saturday, June 27, 2026 the Range Area's will be completely closed from 11:00 AM to 05:00 PM, as the club is sponsoring a celebration of Life in honoring the passing of Leo Victor Stacy, who served 7 decades, as a Trustee and guiding light to our organization. ๐ 's
Leo's, posted obituary is listed below for all to remember, honor with respect to this humble, kind, soft spoken man who embraced the stewardship of his duties with total commitment to the Barre Fish and Game Club.
Leo Victor Stacy, 85, of Washington Road passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, with family at his side.
Born October 1, 1940, to Henry and Gabriel (Huard) Stacy in Berlin. He attended Berlin Elementary School and graduated from Spaulding High School. Leo went on to work for himself maintaining pools and spas for over 50 years.
On June 17, 1994, Leo married the love of his life, Marilyn Gokey, they were married on Willey Hill, in West Topsham. They went on to build their life in East Barre.
Leo was a member of the Barre Fish and Game Club for over 70 years, and a member of the Barre Elks Lodge for 61 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending his spare time enjoying hunting and fishing.
He leaves behind his wife Marilyn Stacy who was by his side for 41 years, daughters Cheryl, Cathy, Stephanie Pires (Dino), Kim Cyr (Mark), his adopted son John Spadt (Rose), his sister Ellen Lawson. 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
