Attention Club Members and Range Pass Permt Holders. It has come to our Attention that there are individuals presently utilizing the Annual BF&GC Button / Pin as some sort of identification, as a Range Permit Holder. Range Permit have an annual fee starting February 1st and ending on the last day in January 31st of said year. The Button concept was designed many years ago, as a gratitude gift from the club for joining, as a member at large, but not as exclusive rights to the firing range area. The use of our firing range area's is an annual fee above and beyond, as currently that fee is $40.00 and subject to change by the clubs Trustee's in preserving, protecting and upgrading club's properties in accordance in properly doing business and follow our By-Laws. When individuals who purchase an annual range permit has membership already encompassed within that fixed price. Yet, we still get individuals insisting the Button is there range permit, as they are asked to leave, because of liability issues. It's important to note that all "Permit Holder" are required to have there active annual range permit available for inspection and on demand. This is why the club many years ago instituted a Lanyard System to contain the individual's permit, while wearing it to demonstrate to all other user's that the individuals utilizing the range area are active paid permit holders. Of course, at the time of purchase the Lanyard is then provided to the purchaser, as part of the permit material along with a personal copy of the clubs specific safety rules and regulations, which each new member an renewing member signs upon purchase after carefully reading to understand the clubs rules & regulations. The bottomline is, if you have forgotten your permit then the use of the range is not available to you until you have it with you. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assiting the club to maintain a safe environment for all to comply.
