Pride Support Services is seeking Live-in Caregivers (2 individuals) to move into a cute home on a dead end street as Live-in Care Givers for a gentleman living with a Traumatic Brain Injury with personal care support needs.

This individual enjoys playing cards, board games and Community activities.

Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as In-Home Caregivers. As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Assist with meal planning and preparation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed
- Follow all applicable HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality
- Lift and transfer clients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as necessary

Requirements:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of caregiving systems and techniques
- Understanding of ADLs (activities of daily living) and the importance of maintaining independence for clients
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining client confidentiality
- Ability to provide direct support and care with empathy, patience, and respect
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to lift and assist with transfers using proper techniques and assistive devices as needed

We are proud to share in this remarkable family’s journey.

Another year has passed and tomorrow may 28th 2021....it has been 10 years since Robs brain aneurysm. So much has happened with him. I usually dread it because my mind goes back to that day and not knowing if he'd make it thru the surgery and everything he had to overcome. After spending 7 months in the hospital and a year at Lennie Burke Farm, we brought him home to live with us. We became part of "Pride Support & Services, which allowed for Rob to have 40 hours of one on one help for him. This is what made such a difference in his life. His goal was to "WALK AGAIN" and he has gotten there!! It has not been easy for Rob or us. It took a lot for Bob& me to say ....we are putting your wheelchair up now. Right after Christmas...we did it and it was so the right time. It has now been 5 months and he's doing great! He walks with a quad cane. Bob &I were hesitant but Rob was ready! He's looking forward to summer and going kayaking! We thank God for the way he's worked in Robs life. ROB amazes me.....and they said he'd never be able to do this!
