🚨 🐰 The next meeting in regards to the upcoming Barrackville Community Easter Egg Hunt will be next Monday, March 23rd. If you have any egg donations and/or monetary donations, you can drop those off that evening.

Support Studio Art + Public Art at Fairmont State on Day of Giving!

This year, our Studio Art students are helping bring the Barrackville Mine Memorial Project to life — designing and constructing a powerful public memorial at Barrackville Mine Memorial Park.

Located across from the historic Barrickville mine site, this memorial will honor lives lost and preserve local history. Student artwork from the university and the local public middle school will be featured on both sides of the central structure, making this not just a monument — but a lasting piece of community storytelling created by Falcons.

This funding is primary to our success and assists us in making sure history is not forgotten and every sacrifice is recorded.

✨ Please join us at the Lions Club Community Building today, June 24th, at 1 pm for a check presentation from Senator Chris Rose to go toward the mine memorial! ✨

The Barrackville WV Mine Memorial Committee will receive a $12,500 grant from the Local Economic Development Assistance (LEDA) grant from the office of Senator Rose, State Senator in the West Virginia Legislature.
