The Sundial Cafe', located at the Gail Reyes Senior Center at 11403 Ellenton Street, Barnwell, offers a wide variety of programs and activities throughout the day. With vibrant colors, intimate seating areas, and stimulating artwork, the Sundial Cafe' is the perfect versitile setting for lively social interactions or a quiet retreat. e social and recreational programs, arts and crafts, wellness seminars, nutrition training and health screenings.Fitness classes include exercise, stretching and line dance.A Bridge Club meets for weekly games. Laptop computers are set up at individual computer stations with wifi for individual use. The Lunch Club meets daily Monday through Friday, for activities and a hot, nutritious meal. Meals are odered daily and delivered by Senior Catering. Meals must be reserved one day prior to the desired meal. Eligibility is determined through an assessment and requirements are as follows:
A person age 60 or older
The spouse of the older program beneficiary, regardless of age
A disabled person under age 60 who resides with an older program beneficiary
A person under 60 who volunteeers at the group center five or more hours a week during meal hours. Guest both over and under the age of 60 are welcome to attendk the group dining program, but are expected to pay the full amount of the meal. In addition to the congregate meal program, Generations Unlimited delivers daily meals to homebound seniors who are unalbe to prepare meals for themselves and who have no one to assist them. All meals meet 1/3 of the dietary needs for the day and are provided five days per week except for approved holidays.
